Sammy was killed in a truck wreck in the 1940's sometime, I believe and Dale, after returning from England/Ireland after WW11, became a Nebraska State Patrolman stationed out of Scottsbluff, later Sidney. I have reason to believe he may have recently died. Amy was alive in the late 1940's, early 1950's. If anyone has any information on this family, I would appreciate being contacted. Amy was an aunt of my mother, LueSetta Jordan Bourn.

Smith
I am seeking information on Robert N. Smith, who passed away on September 14, 1916 in Harrison County, Iowa. According to his newspaper obituary from there, he was to be buried the following Wednesday in Concord, Nebraska. Robert N. Smith migrated with his parents and siblings to Harrison Co., Iowa from Lincolnshire, England, arriving in February 1858. He served in the Confederate Army during the Civil War, having been taken into said army while transporting a load of cargo down the Mississippi. At least one brother and one brother-in-law fought for the Union. He married a Confederate widow, Mrs. Jane Madison of Virginia toward the end of the Civil War. They did not have any children together, although she had several children from her first marriage to Mr. Madison. Jane Madison Smith is known to have passed away in 1897 somewhere in Nebraska. Since Robert N. Smith was to be buried in Concord, Nebraska, I suspect she may be buried nearby. I also suspect that his brother, Joseph Smith, may also be buried nearby. Joseph Smith reportedly passed away on 1 Sept 1900 in Laurel, Nebraska, not far from Concord. Can anyone help me, and is anyone else researching this family?
