The Maskell area of Dixon County has been home to my MARTINSON family since the 1870's and my BOSTWICK family since the early 1900's. I really appreciate this site and check it often in hopes of finding new material. Beside the above mentioned names, auxillary names for my family are: SEVERSON and STUKAS. Alot of my wife's family are from Ponca, grandparents and mother. We were hoping to find a connection but even thow we did not find any information on my wife's family, we enjoyed looking around.
My great, grandfather settled in Dixon Cty. in the early 1890's. His name was John Bell(e) Lisle. My grandfather was Frank Leroy Lisle; he married Margaret Myrtle Davidson. I had and have many friends and relations in Dixon Cty. and eastern Nebraska. I'm glad to see a web site devoted to the area.
